Despite someone first taking all of her free books, she takes the high road and doesn’t get mad about it. Meigan is an intelligent woman with a good head on her shoulders. She takes great care in its decoration and construction, and soon starts a conversation with a mysterious, intriguing borrower of books via notes back and forth.Įverything about this short story worked for me. We follow Meigan, a homeowner who recently constructed a little free library. I gave this short story five fabulous stars! This is especially so for Meigan, who develops an unexpected friendship with a mysterious borrower of books from her Little Free Library. Sharing stories we love with one another is one of the most magical forms of connection there is. This was published very recently on 4/8/20, so check it out if you want some fresh fiction. Like most of the Tor freebies, I don’t know anything about the author, but after skimming the writing style for a moment I knew I had to read this. ( You can read this story for free here.)
